ABOUT ME

I'm a parent and family advocate working to improve policies and services for people living with food allergies in Ireland. With a background in policy and human rights, I focus on raising awareness, contributing research, and driving policy change to ensure food allergies are recognised as a serious public health and equality issue. Food allergies are largely invisible in political and public policy discussions - my goal is to start changing that through evidence-based advocacy and reform.

Roadmap for food allergy services and policies in Ireland

Cover of Report with Title - Roadmap for Food Allergy Services and Policies in Ireland

Food allergies are a significant public health concern in Ireland, yet the response from our health, education, and wider policy systems is limited and fragmented. The seriousness and daily impact of this chronic condition remain largely invisible - there is no national strategy, no dedicated advocacy organisation, and little political focus. This Roadmap for Food Allergy Services and Policies in Ireland is a starting point in the call for change - an individual effort to outline the practical reforms needed to better support those living with food allergies. The aim of the Roadmap is simple: to offer a set of ideas that can help inform conversations with policymakers, health officials, and the media, and to support individuals in their own one-to-one advocacy.
